Karen Tranter
Based on the South Coast of Kwa-Zulu Natal, Karen’s work is quirky, expressive and bold telling a story with a whimsical edge. She experiments with different mediums but mainly paints in acrylic, in her portraiture and still lives. Karen also creates custom pet portraits on commission, bringing beloved animals to life in her signature style-full of character, charm, and just the right dose of mischief. Working mainly on canvas, she allows each painting to evolve intuitively, resulting in artwork that feels personal, playful, and deeply human. Whether you’re after a one-of-a-kind piece or art that simply makes you smile, Karen’s work invites connection at every turn.
